SUMMIT, a local multi-disciplinary engineering and consulting services firm offering Geotechnical, Environmental, Structural and Civil Engineering, Land Surveying, Geotechnical Drilling and Construction Materials Testing has an immediate opening for an Engineering Field Technician. This position is available in our Construction Materials Testing & Special Inspections Department. It is preferred that candidates are familiar with performing field activities such as field density testing (Shelby tube and sand cone), material quantifications and concrete sampling and testing. Applicants must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and a strong work ethic. Work schedule may include some weekends. Ideal applicants will have at least 1 – 3 years of direct construction material testing experience with certifications or training from ACI, ICC, NICET, NCDOT and/or SCDOT Nuclear Gauge Certification a plus. Valid Driver’s License with acceptable driving record and pre-employment drug screening is required.
