SUMMIT is pleased to announce our selection for the Waverly mixed-use development in South Charlotte. SUMMIT was selected for our services by the development team of Crosland Southeast and Childress Klein along with Terwilliger Pappas for the multi-family development and David Weekley Homes on the single-family construction. Our work will consist of Geotechnical Engineering, Materials Testing and Special Inspections during infrastructure and vertical construction operations along with NCDOT Inspection services during widening of Providence Road and the I-485 exit ramp.
The 84-acre development will consist of a combination of approximately 250,000 SF of retail, 325,000 SF of office, 2 structured parking decks, 375 high-end apartment buildings and 141 single-family and townhome units. Work started at the site in early December and grading and infrastructure operations with Blythe Development are currently in full-swing with anticipated vertical construction beginning in the Spring of 2015.
