SUMMIT has hired Mr. Todd Costner, EI to serve as a Project Manager for our Construction Materials and Special Inspections Departments.
As part of our continued relationship with Carolinas Healthcare System (CHS), SUMMIT was selected to provide Special Inspections and Material Testing services for the proposed 41,000 square feet NorthEast Medical Center Surgery Expansion. The Project Architect is FreemanWhite and Contractor is Rodgers Builders.
SUMMIT has started our Geotechnical Engineering, Material Testing and Special Inspection services for the new Rock Hill Operations Center in Rock Hill, South Carolina. The 34 acre Operations Center will be a 1.5 year long construction project that will expand the capabilities of the rapidly growing Rock Hill community. Rodgers Builders is the Construction Manager for the project.
SUMMIT has hired an experienced Field Technician for Soils and Concrete due to our increasing Materials Testing workload. This is our 3rd employee addition in less than 2 months.
SUMMIT has started work on the proposed Brookside Lane for Crescent Resources as part of our on-going work on the Belgate Commercial Development. The roadway will eventually be taken over by NCDOT after construction is completed.
SUMMIT Land Services, PC has added a Survey Assistant and CAD Operator to handle their increased workload and anticipated projects in early 2010. Mr. Joe Hammonds is an experienced instrument and CAD operator and is a great addition to our Survey Team.
SUMMIT has purchased a track mounted geotechnical drilling platform, a CME (Central Mine Equipment) 55 HT (High Torque) machine mounted on a Hitachi 1500 Series rubber track crawler carrier. This unit will greatly expand our in-house drilling capabilities to include angle drilling, rock coring and deep borings (50+ feet) and provide for greater off road capability. This is our 2nd track mounted geotechnical platform and will work in conjunction with out SIMCO rig already in service.
